Our work connects human behaviour, brain activity and computational theory. By studying how knowledge is acquired, organised and lost, we aim to explain both the remarkable flexibility of intelligence and the circumstances in which it breaks down.

We study what is preserved, what becomes imprecise, and how sleep, genetic factors, ageing and dementia shape what remains accessible.
